Yakar is Hebrew for precious, rare and valuable, a word for things of worth beyond price. It's our name and the standard we hold every plate to.
Why Midwood
We opened Yakar to bring an upscale kosher steakhouse to the heart of Brooklyn, so a great kosher dinner is close to home. You'll find us on Coney Island Avenue.
The kitchen
Butter's off the table in a kosher kitchen, so the flavor in our steaks comes from the sear and the cook. Start with the Center Cut Ribeye or the Premier Filet Mignon, both Prime.
The room
The dining room is warm and calming, and we set it for date nights, birthdays and anniversaries. Upstairs, the party room is there for larger celebrations, and our team handles the planning.
